AbstractCourse on mathematical foundations of navigation and basic solutions of navigational problems.
ObjectiveStudents know the mathematical tools in navigation. They are able to further consolidate their navigational knowlegde by their own. They know some basic solution principles in navigation.
ContentGeometry on the surface, Trajectories, course, rhumbline, orthodrome, maneuver, moving coordinate systems, observations from accelerated platforms, observables, observation equations of different systems (satellites, DME/DME, VOR, radar, INS...), error estimation, Kalman filtering, basics of system control.
