KurzbeschreibungTechnology and sustainability are deeply intertwined. This course examines the role of technology in both causing and mitigating environmental problems. The course will examine/question/deconstruct everyday practices and propose ideas for new environmentalist strategies.

What will you do in this course? Explore the intersection between people, technology (especially computing technologies), and the environment. Imagine a path to a greener future and try it out in unexpected ways. Ask questions, big and small. Students of all levels from disciplines ranging from Art and Design to Psychology to Computer Science will work together to foster sustainable behavior using creative insight. You will bring to our discussion your unique interest in sustainability and the environment. You may be a builder, a philosopher, a painter, an engineer, or something totally different.

Voraussetzungen / BesonderesNo technical prowess necessary - this course is open to all majors from all levels. Some parts of the course will deal with deep technical issues, other with deep social issues, and others with deep environmental issues.
