KurzbeschreibungMSc and PhD students at ETH Zurich working in the area of energy and climate with modelling, simulation and other analytical methods. The students present their work to colleagues, advisors and the scientific community. Each week two students give a ~20 minute presentation of their research (motivation, research gap, methods and findings) followed by discussion with the audience.
LernzielThe key objectives of the course are:
(1) participants will gain knowledge of (new/other) advanced research in the area of energy and climate and identify collaboration opportunities;
(2) participants will actively participate in discussion after each presentation and improve their feedback skills;
(3) participants gain experience of different presentation styles;
(4) to create a network amongst the energy research postgraduate student community.
(5) to recognise and reward outstanding research and presentations with Best Presentation Awards.
InhaltDoctoral or master students at ETH Zurich working in the broad area of energy and climate present and discuss their research with their colleagues, advisors and the scientific community. There will be two presentations a week during the semester, each structured as follows: 20 min presentation followed by a 20 min discussion with the audience.
